Presikhaaf, Arnhem 1966. A new area full of shops and new houses, very cheap, modern, cold and close to the center. Children played in the little center in the front (me), fathers sat in the cafe on the left (my father) and mothers shopped in the super coop (my mother). We lived across the street.
My father is 26, I am I think 6 or 5 years old this must be 1960. This was a commercial photo for the newspaper, in a campaign to get Italians/Greeks and people from Spain into the country.
Years and years later, this is 1996/1998 in another part of the country. Valerie was born and grew up here. Ravenstein. I still remember painting my neighbor's blue bench on the left because he was to tired/lazy...
